For the world, this park in Hengqin is a window to Macao's TCM industry. 

With an area of 500,000 square meters, the park is home to 71 Macao enterprises, unleashing Macao's research capabilities and its advantages in terms of TCM standard-setting and quality control. 

WALTER YAU Deputy Director, Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin Commercial Service Bureau "Three types of products are approved and registered in Macao, and produced in Hengqin. These include traditional Chinese medicine products and food, as well as health food."

Companies registered in Macao but having their production units in Hengqin, will receive up to 2.7 million US dollars of subsidies for each of their products. 

The park is also a platform for talented individuals hailing from Macao.

WU SONG President, Guangdong-Macao TCM Technology Industrial Park Devt. "We pay special attention to the training of practitioners of Chinese medicine from Macao and Portuguese-speaking countries. This year, we have held 244 training programs for practitioners from Macao and over 600 training modules for health officials and practitioners from Portuguese-speaking countries."

So far, for Macao enterprises, the park has successfully registered 13 products in Mozambique and 9 products in Brazil. The president of the park says they are actively pushing traditional Chinese medicines to enter the EU market.
